I’m looking for a pension provider that either is ethical or has an ethical fund, that is good for both people and planet - any suggestions? We are a small anti-poverty charity and would potentially be looking to move everyone to a new provider.
Many thanks!
I’d be very keen to hear about the answers that come to this question
We recently switched our 403b from Vanguard to Just Futures and Vestwell, and we couldn’t be happier. We’re a relatively small team, just 6 participants and about $1.3m in total plan assets, based in CA. Just Futures partners with Vestwell as their TPA. The transition was very well supported and the new platform is easy to use, both from an administrator and user POV. We love that our investments are now much more in alignment with our values, personally and organizationally.
Good luck!
Hey! We switched a few years ago to Royal London. Their standard pot isn’t great so they don’t score the highest on green pension rankings, but we liked that they are a mutual, and that you can auto-enrol staff in a decent fossil free pot. We found many providers charged super high fees or simply didn’t work with small employers. Their fees are low and our interest rates have been absolutely great to date. Our annualised interest rate is 10.9% atm. RLP Global Sustainable Equity Pn GBP Fund factsheet | Trustnet
thanks so much Michelle and Ramona - I will check these out
Nest Pensions also has an ethical fund option.
Yeah, I know of two small charity reviews into ethical pensions that—once they also included employee-related factors—found nest ethical came out top.
I don’t have much detail about them though.
