Our organisation is looking for a back up/alternative bank account as we’re finding The Co-Operative Bank clunky and not suitable for our needs.
Context: we’re a small CIC with inconsistent funding.
I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions for a bank (with an accessible interface + very good digital infrastructure) that accepts CICs?

Hello! In a previous role at a CIC we used Starling Bank… which seemed decent? Only annoying thing was it links to Companies House so only Directors could access the banking app. Probably best suited to small orgs/orgs where whoever is leading on finance-y bits is also a Director. Another positive/negative (depending on your viewpoint) was Starling is an app-based bank, so you need a smartphone to use. We found because none of us had work phones, we ended up doing a lot of work-y stuff on personal devices, which wasn’t amazing. But very handy for uploading receipts, keeping track of things easily, etc.!
