Hi there,
I have been doing a variety operations functions in multiple jobs and would like to progress to an Operations Manager role within a justice focused organisation after my current job. Is anyone an Ops Manager or works with them and would be up for having a quick chat or can post any advice as a reply to this?
I am trying to build a picture of the skills and attributes necessary and any training/ courses that might help me progress towards this more, though I do think I have a lot of the skills and knowledge necessary for a lot of Ops roles.
Thanks,
Lykke
Hello,
for me to get a clearer understanding of your query…
are you more so focusing on social justice and advocacy, law enforcement, or other forms of instituitional or systemic issues around justice ?
Hi Lykke,
I am Head of Operations for a charity. I’d be happy to have a call. In short, if I was recruiting for an operations manager I would be looking for the usual strong administrative skills but also leadership potential, and an ability to show that they have a strong interest in working in the sector. This sometimes looks like volunteering.
Hi Louise
I’d love to have a chat - I’m currently Ops lead and am keen to know how different orgs interpret the role subject to org ethos and size.
