1: We need to organise ourselves differently?

This phrase sits at the heart of RadHR. It appears on the About page (clipped below) as a statement of intent. For this thread, I want to treat it as a live question.

What does “organise ourselves differently” actually point to, in your world, right now?

It seems obvious to me. Organising differently has been urgent and necessary and done for years and years, to the point where it can seem vague, aspirational, or even unhelpful.

I’m interested in what this means to you.

Many thanks,

Roxanne

This thread is part of an online community animation experiment I’m doing with RadHR. Check out the announcement thread for more info and to ask about the project.

This question came up a lot when I designed the experiment. It was very helpful for @liam and me to start with an ethics/values match (RadHR’s are also on the About page). It took quite a bit of discussion to figure out what an open/transparent, messy, radical, collaborative and anti-oppressive, fixed-term, independent and generative online animation exploration could look like.
In the spirit of the above I’ll be posting some of the working principles we agreed, showing how this set of threads is not a managerially-led, extractive or evaluative research project. It’s an attempt to organise differently in public and see how that lands with RadHR community members.
