I am a solidarity economy organizer in Newark, NJ, USA. My community organizing work focuses on housing justice, food justice, and queer liberation. I also write for the Grassroots Economic Organizing (GEO) Collective (www.geo.coop) on worker cooperatives and the solidarity economy.
I am passionate about liberation psychology and ways to align organizing work with soul (depth psychology and things deeply felt in purpose and meaning or an ethico-political way), community (of place, with strong bonds, including earth others), and liberation (with clear conjunctural analysis and theories of change). I’m a Quaker, which also informs my thoughts on process. I’m interested in building more capacity for reflexive dialogue in community. I’m interested in hearing what others are doing in their work and learning from worker collectives (non-hoerarchical workplaces).
