**Core team note** : Ironically perhaps, this was an AI post, I’m leaving it here with the discussion, but if you’d like to read more about the ethics of using AI, see this discussion:

> [@Policies / Statement of principles around AI](https://community.radhr.org/t/policies-statement-of-principles-around-ai/1074):

> I’m looking for ways people are addressing the use of AI both, within their orgs and the communities they serve. Are there specific principles and values that are being explicitly named as it becomes more and more a tool people are reaching for? I work for a network of nonprofits in Toronto - we are looking at drafting something that will guide us in a good way, that embraces possibilities when it comes to AI. Thanks! Sree

Original AI post:

> Hello Everyone 😄,
>
> I hope to gain some advice from this group as I investigate how to properly include AI-driven tools into our talent acquisition process. I’m especially curious about how AI may be used to improve several phases of recruitment, from finding and screening candidates to holding interviews and onboarding, as the HR landscape continues to change.
>
> **I have the following particular questions:**
>
> **Candidate Sourcing:** Which AI technologies work best for you in locating and interacting with possible candidates? In what ways do these tools differ from conventional sourcing techniques? 🤔
>
> **Bias Reduction:** Making sure the algorithms in AI-driven hiring don’t reinforce or magnify preexisting biases is one of the difficulties. What actions have you done to lessen bias in your AI systems? 🤔
>
> **Interview Process:** Have you used chatbots for preliminary screening or video interview analysis as an example of integrating AI into the interview process? If so, what effects has it had on the general effectiveness of your hiring process as well as the candidate experience? 🤔
>
> **Onboarding:** How might AI be applied to make the onboarding process for new employees more efficient? Do you have any recommendations for any particular tools or platforms? 🤔
>
> **Legal and Ethical Issues:** When integrating AI in HR, what are the most important legal and ethical issues to bear in mind? How can you use AI’s capabilities to guarantee regulatory compliance? 🤔

Honestly i don’t think it will as it has built in bias which would take a lot if work to train out . so recommend doing the AI and equality training course - it’s free on the Sarbonne website s d their toolbox forum can be found here. These guys are experts in AI Equity . [https://aiequalitytoolbox.com/](https://aiequalitytoolbox.com/)

I’ve never come across a use of automation or AI that doesn’t embed discrimination. AI seems to look at the most common or standard instances of anything, therefore by its nature it will rule out diversity and difference.
